An AI equity research terminal for self-directed investors — structured research notes where every claim traces back to the filing it came from, and every thesis stays tracked after you form it.

What shipped
  • Structured research notes for any US-listed stock: Buy / Hold / Sell call, target price, a ten-factor decision score, bull and bear cases, and a risk read
  • Source attribution on individual claims, traceable back to SEC filings, earnings calls, and news
  • Thesis Tracker — extracts the theses a note rests on and keeps monitoring them, marking each Confirmed, Watching, or At risk as the evidence moves
  • Undercovered discovery, surfacing quality names with thin analyst coverage rather than the ones already crowded
  • Research Hub, watchlists, PDF export, and multi-year report history across a free tier and three paid tiers
Why it's paused
The product reached a complete, usable state but never converted into a paying user base, and the combination of per-report inference cost and the compliance care an investment-adjacent product deserves makes it an expensive thing to run on hope. Work is on hold rather than ended — the thesis-tracking idea is the part still worth coming back for.
Current status
On hold as of October 2026. No new development. StockMagician was always a research tool rather than an advisory service, and nothing it produced was personalized investment advice.

AI-assisted DFMEA and PFMEA review for Tier-2 and Tier-3 manufacturing suppliers — built to catch the findings that fail a design review before the audit does.

What shipped
  • Seven deterministic rule checks, then row-by-row LLM review for supplier-blame cause patterns, vague failure-mode descriptors, missing prevention controls, and RPN arithmetic errors
  • AIAG-RPN and AIAG-VDA formats auto-detected — no configuration
  • PDF and Word reports, plus the original spreadsheet returned with highlighted cells and threaded comments
  • In-memory processing only: no disk writes, no server-side copies of findings, commercial API tier with no training rights on customer data
  • A public trust page listing ten commitments, each independently checkable
Why it stopped
The product worked. The distribution didn't. Selling into quality departments at Tier-2 and Tier-3 suppliers runs on existing relationships and procurement cycles measured in quarters — the waitlist collected interest but never converted into a beta cohort putting real files through it. That's a go-to-market problem a solo studio can't out-build, and continuing to ship features against it would have been avoiding the actual issue.

The site stays online as a record of what was built. It is no longer maintained and the waitlist is not being worked.

MateriaTrace

A bilingual, source-traceable knowledge atlas of Chinese medicine, where every claim links back to a named text you can open and check yourself.

What shipped
  • Roughly 1,900 herbs, formulas, and concepts, with 6,882 citations across thirteen classical and modern sources
  • Chinese and English side by side, with traditional context preserved rather than flattened into a summary
  • Classical record and modern evidence shown together without forcing a verdict — cinnabar recorded as non-toxic in the Bencao Gangmu sits next to its identification as mercuric sulfide, and the reader decides
  • Stable identifiers built for teaching and citation, with no account and no paywall
Why it stopped
The archive reached the state it was meant to reach, and there was no honest business on the other side of it. The value of the thing was that it stayed free and citable, which rules out most of the ways it could have paid for itself. Rather than compromise that to manufacture a revenue line, we finished the content and stopped.
Current status
Permanently online, free, and complete. Nothing will change from here — which for a reference people cite is a feature, not neglect.
